# Can I bring my existing data to the platform?

## If you and your team have already begun researching and collecting data for a digital catalogue raisonné or archive, you can migrate it to the Navigating.art platform.

Yes, absolutely. We know that migrating data from one program to another can be one of the most resource-intensive parts of developing a digital catalogue raisonné. It’s important to ensure that no information is lost, changed, or duplicated. That’s why the Navigating.art team is ready to help.  

Our team has experience bringing data from a range of sources — including Excel and bespoke databases — into the Navigating.art platform. Because each migration project is unique, we take the time to learn about the current state of the information before providing a quote for migration services. 

You are also welcome to use import templates to manage the migration on your own. We’ll send you the templates free of charge and show you how to use them.
