Using the archive search filters

In the archive section, there are several search filters to help you find an entry. This tutirial explains how to use these filters.

The digital archive hosts a wide range of materials relevant to your research. As your project progresses, numerous documents can accumulate on the platform. To help you stay organized and easily locate your resources, the Navigating.art platform provides various filters to streamline your search.

1. In the archive find the default filters at the top of the list view.

Enter a keyword in the filter field and press Enter to apply the filter (e.g., filtering by title). For filters that open a dropdown menu, select an item to apply it (e.g., filtering by level of description).

2. Clear applied filters by clicking Clear all.

3. Filter for resources within a specific collection.

Use the Search within Collection or Parent filter to look up results specifically within a selected collection or parent resource.

4. Select a collection to specify in which collection you want to look for results.

5. Add a filter.

Click + and select the filter you need from the drop down menu, e.g., the subjects filter.

6. Adjust the columns as needed.

The columns in the list view are customizable. Click the three dots icon and select the columns you want to add. To remove a column, uncheck its checkbox. Click Save to apply your changes.

7. Sort the results.

Click on any column header to sort the results in ascending order. Click again to sort in descending order, and click a third time to clear the sorting.
