After linking scans to a publication entry, the Navigating.art platform allows you to easily replace or remove existing links. This helps ensure your records stay accurate and up-to-date if any incorrect links were connected.
When your research includes many publications and digitized materials, linking the correct scan to its publication helps you access the needed materials easily. If you've connected the wrong scans or need to update an entry, you can easily remove or replace linked scans on the Navigating.art platform. This tutorial will walk you through the steps for replacing and removing scans.
2. Select a new resource.
An overlay opens. Select the resource containing the scans you want to link to replace the existing ones. Confirm with Select.
3. Select a preview image for the new resource.
After selecting the new resource, you can select a media item within it to serve as the new preview image for the publication. Confirm with Select or Skip this step and proceed without selecting a preview image.
4. Find the new resource connected to the publication.
5. Remove publication scans.
Click the link icon to remove the existing link between the publication and the scans.
6. Confirm with Delete to remove the connection between the publication and the scans.
7. Find the publication without any linked scans.
Since no scans are currently linked, the option to link scans becomes available. To learn how, follow the tutorial on linking scans to publications.
